LHU has honorably won the title "Outstanding university in building startup ecosystem" at the National Startup Project Development Program 2023 taking place in Hanoi on December 21, 2023. The event was co-organized by the Business Forum Magazine, the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development (NATEC - Ministry of Science and Technology), the National Innovation Startup Advisory Council - VSMA, under the direction of the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
Attending the event were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang - Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee and LHU's representatives including Dr. Nguyen Van Tan - Dean of Faculty of Administration and International Economics; DSc. Nguyen Thanh Son - Director of Center of Scientific Research and Applications and DSc. Le Phuong Long - Lecturer of Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics (co-founder of the "Multi-application fuel cells" project).

Overcoming hundreds of outstanding projects, after 3 rounds of selection, the project "Multi-application fuel cells" by an author group from LHU was honorably selected in top 10 projects to participate in the final round of the 2023 National Startup Project Development Program. The project picked up the Consolation prize in the category of innovative technological projects generating social impact, transitioning the circular economy towards a green economy.… Compared to previous years, this year, the Organizers required finalists to make a video clip introducing their products.

Mr. Ly Dinh Quan - General Director of the Song Han Incubator, Vice Chairman of the VSMA said: This year's local startup projects are increasingly outstanding and diverse. In particular, the amount of knowledge is increasing day by day. Although stopping at the Consolation prize, "Multi-application fuel cells" is considered a project with high science and technology content, in-depth processes from persistent research to commercialization. The product carries Vietnamese brands using Vietnamese intelligence. This is pride for Vietnamese startups."
Right after launching the startup ecosystem at LHU, Dr. Nguyen Van Tan has instructed, supported and mentored a series of startup projects by students and lecturers. At this event, he was honored as a panelist sharing experience in building and promoting the startup ecosystem at LHU. LHU startup activities have become self-starting activities among students throughout the University. With achievements at the National Startup Program 2023, the LHU startup ecosystem promises to continue to be a useful place attracting the participation of the startup community including lecturers, students and young entrepreneurs, thereby opening up many new start-up opportunities, contributing to building a team of creative entrepreneurs in the future.

This year's Startup Festival included the following activities: organizing the 2023 National Startup Forum discussing policies and mechanisms to support startups; opportunities and challenges, new policies and solutions in innovative startup activities while diversifying resources for innovative startups; announcing the top 3 excellent projects; awarding titles: Outstanding localities and universities in building startup ecosystem in 2023 (Dong Nai province was among 3 localities winning the title) and launching the 2024 National Startup Program.
