Department of Japanese Studies' 2024 freshmen welcoming event

On October 4 afternoon, 2024 the Department of Japanese Studies under the Faculty of Oriental Studies, LHU in collaboration with Konnichiwa International Education Company Limited held an intimate ceremony to welcome its new students combined with the Japanese Culture Day.

The welcome event aims to give the freshmen an opportunity to meet their new friends and lecturers, learn information about their major as well as get familiar with a new learning environment, at the same time experiencing Japanese culture characteristics.

Attending the event, from the Konnichiwa International Education Co., Ltd were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Director; Mr. Watanabe Mikio - Deputy Director; Mr. Tachiyashiki and their associates. From LHU, there were Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Thuong - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies; Ms. Tran Minh Thuy Duong - Program Head of the Department of Japanese Studies; Ms. Tran Thi Gai - Department Head; lecturers, member staff, current students and many freshmen.

At the event, Director of Konnichiwa International Education Co., Ltd. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, also a former student of the Department of Japanese Studies expressed her joy and feelings, at the same time sharing tips for effective learning with the new students.

In addition, Program Head of the Department of Japanese Studies Tran Minh Thuy Duong gave a short introduction about the Department's goals and objectives, curriculum, rules, and regulations,... as well as a learning roadmap for first-year students.
