Living Wage

Lac Hong University is committed to ensuring that all staff and faculty receive a salary that meets or exceeds the local living wage standard.

The minimum salary for university-qualified professional staff at our institution, which covers net pay, family living expenses for a household of four, and meals, exceeds the 2025 Gross Living Wage benchmark for Dong Nai (Region II - urban/peri-urban) by approximately 4.34%. This benchmark is established by the Global Living Wage Coalition using the Anker Methodology, a globally recognized framework for calculating living wages. This standard applies to all categories of staff and faculty, including permanent, contract, and full-time academic personnel. The university regularly reviews its salary scales to ensure continued compliance with or improvement beyond the local living wage threshold.

It is important to note that this comparison focuses only on the minimum base salary and excludes overtime payments or additional allowances for extra responsibilities.

In addition to salary, permanent and fixed-term staff are provided with opportunities for career development through policies such as reduced tuition fees for master’s and doctoral studies, further enhancing long-term financial and professional well-being.
