Le Thi Yen Nhi wins Southern Region Chinese Speaking Contest 2025

Le Thi Yen Nhi, a student of LHU, was crowned Champion of the Southern Region Chinese Speaking Contest - the Consulate General of China Cup, proudly hosted by LHU on September 5, 2025, at The Mira Central Park Hotel. With her outstanding language skills and engaging artistic performance, Yen Nhi earned an almost perfect score that fully convinced the judges. This achievement not only brings her personal pride but also affirms the quality of Chinese Language training at LHU – a prestigious institution in the Southern region.

  • The Contest, jointly organized by LHU’s Office of International Affairs and Faculty of Oriental Studies, brought together students from 20 universities and colleges along with 38 FDI enterprises as sponsors and participants. More than a language competition, the event highlighted LHU’s role as a bridge connecting education, diplomacy, and business, while reaffirming its reputation in training high-quality Chinese language talents and strengthening cooperation with diplomatic agencies, FDI enterprises, and educational institutions in the field.

This year's contest saw the finalists deliver highly creative presentations, showcasing their flexibility in language, persuasive presentation skills, and profound understanding of Chinese culture. Each contestant brought a unique voice, together painting a vibrant and diverse picture of the contest.

This year’s victory by an LHU student clearly highlights the strong advantages of pursuing Chinese Language studies at LHU. Students are trained not only in language and cultural knowledge but also gain frequent opportunities to participate in large-scale academic competitions, sharpening their skills and proving themselves in prestigious academic arenas.
